Our company consistently achieves these key objectives while supporting the communities in which we work. We understand the potential effects our operations may have on local residents and the environment so we work very hard to successfully mitigate any impact our activities may have.
Safety isn’t just a manual at Willows Construction (2001) Ltd.. Safety involves everyone: our customers, communities and employees. Our safety program is continually evolving to the latest technological developments, equipment requirements and changes to our scope of work. New policies and procedures are developed by everyone to ensure that they work in the office, on the road and in the field. We are dedicated to providing proper protective equipment, education and manpower to identify and protect from the hazards specific to our industry. We lead in the development of policies and procedures that not only meet, but exceed legislative and industry requirements. Our recent Health and Safety audit by the Alberta Association for Safety Partnerships concluded that “Willows Construction (2001) Ltd.…is constantly upgrading its safety manual and employee training” and “employee safety is of primary concern.”
Willows Construction (2001) Ltd. has received 99% rating for the past 3 years from our external Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit completed by the Alberta Construction Safety Association. We are committed to maintaining our high safety ratings and encourage all of our employees to actively participate in improving our Health and Safety program.
All Willows Construction (2001) Ltd. employees are required to have standard industry training upon starting employment including, but not limited to, the following:
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
- Worksafe Hazardous Materials Information System(WHMIS)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods(TDG)
- First Aid
- H2S Alive
- Ground Disturbance Level II
- Enform’s Electronic General Safety Orientation(eEGSO)
